Permanent presence in Nepal
We have been in Nepal since 2012. We know how to deliver aid.
Familia de Hetauda was founded in 2012 and works permanently in Nepal alongside Si Asha Foundation, our local partner. From Hetauda, Kathmandu and Bardibas, we run social and educational projects and support vulnerable children, young people and families.
This local presence allows us to verify needs, coordinate with trusted people and organisations, purchase supplies in the country and tailor aid to each community.

Who will this fundraiser support?+
This fundraiser is exclusively for responding to the emergency caused by the floods of 26 August. The funds will support affected families and communities, prioritising those facing the greatest vulnerability. It is an extraordinary campaign, separate from the educational and disability projects that Familia de Hetauda normally runs.
How will the use of the funds be decided?+
The funds will be used according to needs verified on the ground. The Si Asha Foundation team in Nepal, in coordination with Familia de Hetauda and local partners, will prioritise water, food, hygiene, clothing, blankets, temporary shelter and other essential supplies. The response may adapt if emergency priorities change.
How will the aid reach people?+
Whenever possible, supplies will be purchased in Nepal and delivered through our permanent team and trusted local partners. This reduces delays and unnecessary international shipments and allows us to adapt the response to the real needs of each community.
Will you report on how donations are used?+
Yes. We will publish updates on the amount raised, the actions carried out and the use of funds through this page, our social media channels and/or email communications. We will always protect the dignity and privacy of the people receiving support.
Are the Asha schools and the team safe?+
Yes. Aina, the local team, the Asha schools and the children are safe. The emergency is affecting communities hit by the flood in northern Nepal, and this extraordinary campaign has been created to support them.
Is the payment secure?+
Yes. Payment is encrypted and processed through Stripe. Familia de Hetauda does not access or store your card details.
